Academy Awards Best Picture Winners and Nominees (these films are central to our theme of "what makes a good/bad text," and therefore work well within the confines of the various projects. You're encouraged to work with one or more of these films for your individual projects, but it's not mandatory. I'm open to you working with texts that meet your interests.
